The Ride
Nightclub-Inspired Fitness
IZ design studio transformed The Ride's 4,300 sq ft Summerlin space into a high-energy cycling haven, blending nightclub ambiance with state-of-the-art audio/visual systems and thematic lighting for spin enthusiasts.
The mission for this project was to create a premium fitness experience that celebrates the exhilaration of cycling. IZ design studio worked with the client to help channel their concept into a brand and a space that would energize and visually excite everyone walking through the door. Located in Summerlin, just outside Las Vegas, The Ride brings the pulsing music and lights of a Strip nightclub together with passionate cycling instructors to deliver a fun, high-energy atmosphere for their spin enthusiasts. The 4,300 square foot space is primarily dedicated to the large spin “Theater”. Terraced much like a movie theater, the main fitness room has three levels of stationary bikes all focused on the center stage at the front of the space. The Theater is equipped with a state-of-the-art audio/visual system and thematic lighting. Acoustics were carefully considered with a design that uses resilient rubber flooring throughout and a wide band of three-dimensional sound dampening material along the curved back wall. The entry features a sleek white reception desk set against a curved, concrete-inspired plaster wall along with a merchandise display and boldly colored mural. Client amenities including lockers and well-appointed shower and changing rooms flank the Theater. The color and material palette features concrete along with clean and bright white finishes accentuated by The Ride’s iconic electric blue. Administrative and back-of house spaces such as laundry, storage, and offices are also housed within the space.
