IZ design studio designs a state-of-the-art facility to enhance public health services through advanced diagnostics, timely testing, and community health monitoring.
The Southern Nevada Health District Clinical Laboratory provides essential services and supports public health research on communicable diseases and environmental hazards. It also serves as a training hub for healthcare workers and a collaborative center for local health organizations.
Working closely with laboratory specialists, IZ design studio crafted this 3,943 square foot facility, featuring a 1,300 square foot lab, offices, and support spaces. Equipped with cutting-edge technology for microbiological, chemical, and environmental testing, the efficient layout includes advanced equipment and workflows for high-capacity testing, with capabilities for routine diagnostics, screenings, and emergency response. IZ designed the lab with a special emphasis on biosecurity and compliance with rigorous safety protocols.
