Delmonico Steakhouse Las Vegas

Las Vegas, Nevada

Modern Steakhouse

IZ design studio, in collaboration with David Mexico Design Group, revitalized Chef Emeril Lagasse’s iconic Delmonico Steakhouse at the Venetian Resort & Casino, infusing a brighter and modern ambiance into the 11,430 sq ft fine dining space with widened ceiling vaults, custom carpet, and focal points like fully glazed wine storage and an open kitchen.

Located inside the Venetian Resort & Casino on the Las Vegas Strip, Chef Emeril Lagasse’s Delmonico Steakhouse is an institution. Originally designed in 1998, this fine dining restaurant needed a refresh. Serving as the Architect of Record, IZ design studio worked with David Mexico Design Group, a prominent design firm based in New York City, to reinvigorate the 11,430 square foot space with a brighter, more modern approach to a steakhouse. This collaborative design effort focused on opening the space to provide a less constricted feeling. Located directly beneath the indoor replica of the Venice Canal and constrained by the existing ceiling height, the design team widened the narrow original ceiling vaults and lightened the paint to expand the perception of space. Custom carpet and lighting fixtures were installed throughout the 248 table main dining area. The fully glazed, chilled wine storage, visible from both the reception and dining areas, along with the kitchen, serve as focal points within the space. The existing entry was expanded to highlight the wine storage and draw patrons into the space. The bar was completely revamped to achieve a sleeker, more streamlined aesthetic. Additionally, the existing kitchen was opened with floor to ceiling glazing creating a unique private dining experience coined “The Chef’s Table”.
