Industrial Strength Headquarters

IZ design studio created a robust 6,286 sq ft headquarters for a construction and demolition company, featuring an industrial aesthetic, sturdy CMU construction, reclaimed steel beams, and durable interior materials, achieved through a successful Design-Build collaboration meeting budget and schedule targets.

Serving as the headquarters for this construction and demolition company, this 6,286 square foot building was designed to withstand heavy use and represent the client’s industrial design aesthetic. Programmatically this new construction project features a reception/administrative area, private offices, storage space, and a covered wash bay. The primary objective of this project was to create a building that was sturdy inside and out. The resulting design solution utilizes CMU to create a solid building mass with limited glazing. Corrugated metal panels along with steel beams reclaimed from the owner’s previous demolition projects accentuate the building façade. The interior makes use of durable materials and finishes to stand up against the high volume of work boots, tools, and debris that make its’ way into the space. Polished concrete floors, raw plywood, and exposed structure align with the refined, yet robust exterior. IZ design studio worked with the client in an informal Design-Build capacity throughout the planning, design, documentation, and delivery of the new office building. This successful collaborative effort resulted in meeting the client’s established budget and schedule targets.
