IZ design studio has crafted a glamorous speakeasy that transports patrons to the 1920s, immersing them in a lavish, vintage ambiance.
Located inside The Shoppes at Mandalay Bay Resort and Casino on the Las Vegas Strip, the 1923 Prohibition Bar evokes the allure and mystery of a bygone era. Collaborating closely with the client, IZ design studio brought this vision of a speakeasy-inspired bar to life.
Known for its bourbon-centric menu, hand-rolled cigars, live piano performances, and burlesque dancers, the bar’s design features luxurious tufted gold seating and rich red velvet drapery, creating an intimate, opulent atmosphere. Ornate chandeliers with cascading crystals illuminate the space, contributing to a sultry and nostalgic vibe. Branded bourbon barrels, vintage photos, and décor elements—including a hidden door—offer a truly immersive experience.
